Chapter 10

STEPPING ONTO THE CRIME LADDER

By now I was now accepted by the older boys who used me to steal cars for them, they said I had balls like a rhino, hearing them talk about me like that made me feel great, and now they all knew I who my family was they respected me and feared me more. within a few years I had become well known, my reputation together with that of my other families made me feel powerful. But I was still just a boy. I wanted more power and respect, I wanted my other family to hear my name being spoken about. That’s when guns came into play. First was a browning 8 shot pump action shotgun, I took that home and Mick pumped it like you do in the films using just one hand, I felt massive, even Mick had respect for me now, then as my years went on the hand guns came, 9mm long nose chrome high power browning, 9mm Italian berretta like the one in the film 48hrs that Mel Gibson used, I had over 150 rounds of ammo! a few side by side shot guns, a colt 45 semi auto, a .22 pistol, Glock 26. .38 revolver. I was losing the plot with my hunger for power. It was only a matter of time before I used one of these weapons to get the reputation I craved. In 2009 Laura my ex and the mother of my other kids Mikee and Jo, was sent to prison for 3 years for possession of a 9mm Glock. Having been found holding it in her house, every woman I’ve been with I’ve caused pain and suffering to and it had to stop.

I walked around like Clint Eastward! Waiting for someone to mess with me. It wasn’t long before I was arrested for a firearms incident, a man had fired a 9mm into someone’s house over a debt, I was remanded for 6 weeks then let out after forensics had proven it wasn’t me, I had realised I didn’t have to go round shooting people to get respect and tried to use money instead, by now I was happy the fear that I would shoot you if you

messed with me was established. When I thought it went cold I would walk into a packed-out pub with a hand gun and wave it around, one night on bonfire night I pulled up in the local pub and fired a few shots out the sunroof making sure the spent shells fell inside the car, I made a habit of taking my latest gun round to some of the “faces” the older men in the areas houses, I would show them and tell them I could get them one if they wanted. that used to keep the reputation alive! but I would never sell them anything, one of the rules of the underworld is to never arm your enemies..they knew what armoury I had and that was my aim.

1999 SHOOTING, REMAND

April 1999 I received a call from the police, “come out with your hands up!” they was outside my flat, I went out as they asked, it was armed response, I was arrested for suspicion of shooting into someone’s house. They raided the flat taking my clothes and the Addidas jacket I always worn, this would later turn out to be my saving grace. A fella that I had worked with as an installer for cable a tv company had made the allegation that I had threatened him and turned up at his house and fired a 9mm through his door. His girlfriend had described me as having been wearing a Addidas jacket! Forensics had recovered the bullet and spent cartridge and was checking them for prints as well as the jacket and swabs taken from my hands and clothes for gun powder. It was alleged that I had fallen out with this man over £50, and tried to shoot him through his door when he wouldn’t answer it. Later forensics proved it wasn’t me and I was released from prison with no further action, after being remand into custody for a few months.

1999-2000 BANK JOB, REMAND

Christmas night early hours of boxing day 1999, I was arrested near to a bank that had been burgled, I was remanded whilst awaiting forensics to do done on my clothes and prints at the bank. Whilst in interview I was told the facts: Over the holiday period thief’s had broken into the bank which was a holding bank for the smaller banks around the area, It was said to be holding a lot of cash due the fear of cash withdraws as the millennium bug was going to mess up peoples accounts. The thief’s had broken into the bank and disabled the alarm, then over a few days tunnelled their way into the main vault under the bank. I understand their plans would have succeeded if the alarm for the ATM machine had not been set off by someone, As the atm was not the target I’m not sure why someone would be playing around with?. But that was how the police got notified. I was arrested miles down the road but as it was 1am and I was in a van with no good reason for being in the area the police charged me with conspiracy to burgle , a few months later when forensic tests came back proving it wasn’t me I was released. It was around 5pm The door of my cell opened, I thought it was diner time, the officer told me to pack my kit the case had been dropped! I can remember looking back at the prison as I walked to the train station. (More detail to come) estimate 2 pages

2001 IMPORTATION OF FIREARMS 15 MONTHS PRISON

A trip to see a friend in France ended up with me getting 15 months in prison. I went to see a friend and whilst there got offered two .38 revolvers. It was bad luck that I got pulled over coming through customs, it was due to my other mate the owner of the shitty red van we drove over, I wanted to hired a new car but he was too tight and convinced me to go in his van, we bought a few creates of beer to make the trip look like a booze run. Customs sniffed a rat and searched the old van, they said they pulled it as it was out of tax! What a amateur mistake to make! Hid in the rear doors were the two guns. We both got nicked but as the guns were mine I later pleaded guilty to them both getting the charged dropped against the other fella, I got 15 months, by now Laura was pregnant with my boy Mikee and the judge took pity on me, the sentence allowed me to be in time to see the birth of my boy.

2003 BENTLEY NO.1

By now I was into expensive things and flat out into ringing and breaking cars to supply the cash for my expensive lifestyle. During A weekend away indulging in this lavish lifestyle, I was meant to be relaxing. As I pulled up to the 5 star hotel a brand new Bentley Arnarge red label was parked in the valet area. Knowing I could sell it for good money, I could not resist the challenge and buzz of stealing it. By now I had lads that did this kind of thing for me, but being so far from home I had to act fast. Walking into the hotel lobby I eyed up the place, a few concierges stood around helping guests, I found the area that held the keys for the cars that had been valet parked and walked round the back into the office, opening the key locker I found the Bentley key and walked out with it unchallenged. Parking my car safely out the way I walked back and jumped into the Bentley driving it to the underground car park id left my car, searching for the tracker didn’t take long and I found it hidden behind the rear seat in the corner. I ripped it out making sure it didn’t have a cut off to the fuel pump or ECU, after opening it up to take out the back up battery I disposed of it accordingly. I then made a call and got some lads to come and pick it up, they brought some new clean number plates with them and a blank tax disc, taking the car back to my area was easy and went without any trouble.

The trouble only started when a member of the public had clocked my driver parking it into the lock and store unit I had hired, it turned out that he didn’t look like the typical Bentley driver, the police were called and they raided the lockups finding a Mercedes there as well. Going back through the cameras they got images of me there a few weeks earlier. I was nicked! To cut a long story short I pleaded guilty to stealing the

Bentley and not guilty to the Mercedes. This was after taking advice from an ex IRA member that had been saved by Jesus, he told me to hand it over to God and reluctantly I did, I only got 12 months for that and I was out in 3 on tag! God had looked after me, but sadly I didn’t honour his grace and my life of crime continued.

By now I had my own Mercedes s500 I used for chauffeuring, the police seized it after I had a colour change done, they kept it for weeks even though they knew by now it wasn’t stolen, I found out what garage was storing it for the police and sent them a fax authorising the release! I turned up taking my car back and once on the road I rang the cooper up telling him to make an appointment next time he wants to take my car! days later I got arrested for stealing my own car back, but the charges were later dropped.

2006 THEFT OF PORSCHE CAYENNE. 3 YEARS PRISON

2004 I was doing well, my business was making good money and I had my own house and one I rented out, I just paid £35.000 cash for a BMW M3 convertible. It was sat on my drive with the rest of my goodies. I was in the process of buying the 3rd house in the close. When the knock on the door came!....... 8 months prior to this I had a Mercedes s500 I used for my chauffeur company,

“Denovitz chauffeur drive and body guard services” I drove the chairman of QPR football club around and some rich Arabs, and did some protection work, tooled up wearing a bulletproof vest! I was on £500 a day from the Qpr chairman and the Arabs alone, the stuff that required me to gear up made me 1000s a day, clients incuded T-mobiles CEO! They paid for me to stay in a top hotel in London and i made the most of their hospitality by running up a massive bar and food bill during my 3 days there. (More detail to come) estimate 1 pages

Things were good and it was all straight money. However I was always scamming and one day seeing a billboard that had been blown off the wall next the road I couldn’t resist making a claim. I pulled the merc under the sign leaning it on the bonnet and taking a photo. I contacted the billboard company and put in my claim, they resisted at first until I threatened to sue them, once admitting liability I contacted a car hire company and arranged a hired car whilst mine was in for repair. Obviously my car was not being repaired so I had both mine and the hire car to use for a few weeks, my mate who owns a body shop printed me off an invoice for a couple of grand and I got paid for damages that never happened, the hire car was a Porsche Cayenne turbo. After rallying it about for a week I was bored with it, a friend of mine that lived in Spain was in the uk for a few weeks and popped round to see me, pulling out a bag of cocaine and giving it to me as a gift we greeted each other with a smile and hug, “nice car” he said I knew it had to go back to the hire company in a few days, but let him take it anyway, I’d rather he had it in Spain than give it back to the hire company. I charged him £5000 for it, removed the tracker changed the plates and off he went! He was sending it Spain and it would be there in a day or 2, I relaxed and spent the weekend sniffing the gift he brought round. After the weekend the car was safely out the country and I reported it to the police and hire company. Everything was fine and no one suspected a thing. By now I had a few lads round me that I think we’re working for the police and eight months later when one of them got nicked and needed bail one sold me down the river. That’s where the knock on the door came from....

7am the usual knock bang bang bang, I opened the bedroom window looking out expecting to see my brand new block paved driveway and shinny new BMW M3, but this time the drive was covered in police, like ants, they was everywhere, all over the drive and back garden. I opened the door and got introduced to an officer that took things a bit too personal.

He nicked me for the theft of the Porsche some 8 months earlier! I laughed out loud in his face, I was a cocky man and this didn’t do me any favours, after raiding the house they found nothing of evidential value. But they had a card up their sleeve, it was called the proceeds of crime act 2003, POCA. They seized the M3 under this act, and I soon stopped laughing as it had just cost me £35.000 just 3 weeks prior. The car was bought from my Mums bank account, insured to her, registered to her, despite it clearly being hers, I later lost the court case and the police seized it, the judge called me and my mum liars and found in favour of the police, 18 months it took to get to court, by then the car was worth in its 20s, and they made me pay the money it had lost in value!

Before this case I was on sec47.3 police bail for 6 months for the Porsche, every month I went back to answer bail to get re bailed time and time again. Then October came and I went in as usual but didn’t walk out! I got charged with theft of the Porsche and was remanded!

Even though I was answering bail every month without a problem the custody sergeant refused bail saying that I was a bail risk! The next day at court I was sure I’d get out, but they refused me bail too, I spent 10 weeks (70 days) on remand, on the 70th day I came back to court and the CPS and police had still not given us full disclosure, according to law they have 70 days to do this and had failed, I was free, on bail. I fought the case and longed it out until June 2006. By then the police had got some other charges on me and had a plea deal at court, i pleaded to the Porsche and they dropped the other charges, this opened up the POCA on the M3 and lead to me loosing it. I got 3 years in June 2006 getting out October 2007. one week into my sentence the police raided the house where I lived with Laura and found a 9mm Glock! Laura was charged with possession of a firearm. I’ll get onto this later.

HARRASING THE POLICE

As I mentioned earlier the police would sometimes use low tactics like arresting my girlfriend to put pressure on me, well, I wouldn’t stand for this and found out where these police lived! I made sure they knew I knew! And I sent them a message telling them to back off. I regret the way I harassed these police officers, the worry I must have caused them and their families, I hope they know I am sorry for my behaviour.
