That's my past though, and although my past life has built up some credit rating in the criminal underworld it is not something I like to boast about or relive, I sit here and try to understand how I did the things I did? only now as a new creation in Christ can I grasp how bad I was, I'm still a sinner but by the grace of God I have changed massively! I can feel the change, people can see the change, but today I was in town and an old friend from my past stopped me, he said quietly in my ear "its me and you here Mike no one is listening, everyone is telling me about this preaching stuff your doing, where is the scam? how much you getting? everyone is saying your never see a skint preacher" and he laughed, this fella knew me very well having spent time with me in Spain whilst on the run in 2009, he knew me but no matter what I said I couldn't convince him I was genuine! even in jail the screws thought it was a scam, its been 3 years since I committed a crime or did anything in line with my past, but still now people don't believe I have or could change, the people that don't believe me don't know Jesus and his amazing power to change a person from the inside, that makes me more determined to reach these lost souls, over time I pray they come to Jesus through seeing and eventually believing the change is genuine in me.

I want everyone to experience the love of God through Jesus and the amazing transformation he can have on your heart, I used to love to steal, con, rob, cheat, and hated the police, now I hate crime, love the police and want to help prevent crime! what a change Jesus has had on my heart! that's supernatural.

I used to listen to the lies the enemy would tell me about myself, that I was not worthy to mix with Christians, I was lower than them, that there was no point in going to church because they wouldn't believe me either, sadly I have felt some rejection but understandably I see why they would have been skeptical and cautious and I don't blame them, I always used to wonder why people wouldn't give me a chance especially if their faith was in Jesus, I wasn't asking for money, I just wanted fellowship and friends, looking back I can see I got exactly that but I couldn't see as it was drowned out by the lie that I was told "your not good enough". it was me that was the problem, I was judging people and rejecting the love they offered. Now I want to embrace the love of Gods church, I want to be apart of the church and help it grow by reaching out and using my testimony to reach the lost.

I want to reach out to the people that think they are not good enough, and I'm hoping people will join me.

Together we are strong, when I was a criminal I often put a team together to pull of a job, it took different talents to do different tasks, one man would drive, one would cut the safe open! coming from a Traveller family I have been in situations where I stood back to back with my brother holding my fists up as we were attacked by crowds in a pub, the people attacking us were just human, we dealt with them, but what I'm fighting against now is more powerful and not made of flesh and blood

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

that's why we need to stand back to back with Christian warriors so we can protect and encourage each other while we fight against the enemy using all of our God given gifts and strength to reach down into the pits of hell and lead people to Jesus, I'm not talking about witnessing to the already saved, while there is a time and place for that, I understand we all need to gather for fellowship and the word, but I feel God is equipping this Ministry to get out into the dredges and reach out to the least of society, we cant do that by simply having the doors of the church open, that's nice and welcoming, but we have to reach out and show people what a Christian is, so many are turned away by religion, Religion is one of the enemy's best weapons, we need to break peoples misconceptions about God and who Jesus really is, people think they cant come to God unless they give up what they're doing and become a "good person", "become clean", so many miss out on a relationship with God through the Son because of this lie, if we don't reach out were be in danger of ministering to ourselves every Sunday and getting fat on the word but not using it to reach out and spread the message of salvation in Jesus, we all have our part in Jesus's church, some make the tea, others preach the word, together we are strong and when our thinking comes in line with Gods will for us we will see miracles, healings and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, I believe God is going to pour out his spirit on us but only once we step out of the boat into the warzone, so often pray for more of the holy spirit, and God does sometimes give more, the goose bumps we feel while worshipping, or the special feeling of love when we pray, I've felt the Holy Spirit come when I've put myself in a position of trust like witnessing to someone I didn't know on the spur of the moment, I believe God will unleash more of his Spirit as we step out more, I see it like this, what's the point in having 500 horse power if your never going to use it!? Does God always have to pour out his spirit during a church service? no, because we don't always need the power or the effect it brings. if we get out and let God lead us into situations where his Spirit will have a chance to really shine on people that's where I believe we will see miracles!

I don't know what my part in Gods ministry will be, but I'm excited to find out. Do you want to find out what your part in this "Job" will be? where it will lead, who we will see saved, healed, set free.....brothers and sisters, I don't know what God has in plan, but I do know that it is his will to reach out to the lost and spread his word and whenever we step out for God we will be under attack, and the stronger we are the better the effect we can have.

Will you stand shoulder to shoulder back to back with me and boldly step out of the boat to fight for his kingdom?

I guess your wondering who I am?
Where do I start? my name is Michael Long, I was 40 in March 16, I was released form prison on 8th February 2016 having served 9 months out of a 3 year sentence for an old offence back in 2013 for handling a stolen Ferrari, I have spent the last 25 years in and out of prisons and done 6 in jail since 2006, my crimes varied from handling stolen goods e.g. high value cars to robbery of cash vans, burglary of a Bentley dealership, possession of firearms, drugs, fraud. I was a serial cheating womaniser, and a conman. I've done everything except sex crimes!
